What customers say?

“ I’ve eaten in about half the Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. This one is the best yet. The prices are a hair below average - but the portion sizes are far bigger than the competition, and the quality and flavor are the best I’ve had in Louisville yet. My wife and I ordered the chicken saag and chicken biryani. Both dishes were flavorful, and unlike you will often find… Not the slightest bit dry. The texture and finish were perfect. I will note, if you want a fancy sit-down meal with chandeliers and mood lighting, this isn’t your spot - but if you care more about good food and top-quality service, this place will be hard to beat! Highly recommend. ”

“ Came in for lunch, got the Chicken tikka Marsala & beef patty. Everything was delicious, met the new owner and beyond hospitable. Service was top tier from the entire staff, I didn’t get to take a picture of the mac & cheese we got to sample but it too was flavorful giving southern grandmother tastes. ”

“ Huge shoutout to the gentleman working today — your energy, good vibes, and warm welcome set the tone the moment we walked in. This is easily one of the best Caribbean spots I’ve tried in Louisville. The menu is impressive, offering both Caribbean and Indian options. The oxtail was absolutely fire , and the jerk chicken had a great kick to it. Personally, I enjoyed the jerk chicken even more with the orange rice, but I know my palate is a little different from most. They have a buffet on Thursday's and are currently trying it out on Sunday's! They’re open every day, which is a win. And the mango smoothie? Super fresh, genuinely flavorful, and surprisingly filling. The restroom was immaculate as well. Thank you for an amazing Sunday lunch — I’ll definitely be back. ”

“ Under new ownership. I liked this place before. But, the new owner has stepped it up a notch. He is very friendly and the service was great. I had the jerk chicken meal with bourbon yams and collard green. It was all delicious. I will definitely be back! ”

“ Incredible food! Please support! I first tried Mom's at the Jimmy's Corner location. Everything taste so homemade, fresh and super flavorful. I loved it so much I absolutely had to try out the Bardstown Road location. It did not disappoint! I got the buffet to go and was blown away. Even though I can't recall the names of all of the dishes, every single thing I tried was delicious! The service was also excellent. I cant wait to go back! ”

“ The new owner was very accommodating and friendly. Food was excellent. We had a Caribbean jerk chicken and a Curry chicken. The sides were killer - Mac and cheese, yams, plantains. Added a Strawberry lassi at the end and was a perfect complement to the spice. ”

“ Koko+Rae has added a friend: Mom's Kitchen. You might wonder whether a restaurant that serves both Caribbean and Indian food is a good idea; wonder no more: it is. Upon arriving we were greeted effusively and guided through the menu options. The chef is vegan (!!) and came to the front of house to describe several customized, plant based dishes (not on the menu). We ordered the red bean curry and the curried spinach, as well as vegan samosas and everything was GLORIOUS. Wonderful, complex flavors, cooked to perfection, and delivered at the correct temperature (nice and toasty). Portion size is very appropriate for the quality and price. Based on this experience I would absolutely go back for the food, but even more so the people - so kind, so thoughtful. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our entire experience was unique and memorable (in a very good way). ”
